Dogs and dog grooming is my passion. It’s not just a job; it’s my first love, my vocation and everything in between. Grooming is more than a job to me it is my hobby too and I strive to be the very best I can at it.
My early plans for establishing my Dog Grooming Career began by studying for a Business Diploma for 2 years which would help me run my business successfully. My grooming salon is not only modern and chic but very clean and airy. This provides a relaxing atmosphere for your dog and is very important to me.
Once I’d landed my dream job, I knew I was learning the skills to own my own salon. So after years of planning and hard work, Golden Paws began. Every day is different and rewarding here in the salon. I look forward to work every day and I would say one of the most rewarding parts of my job is the relationship and bond that grows between me and your dog, without any doubt my favourite reward. Some of my customers have been with me since my first days, and they are now my friends.
I am constantly striving to improve my skills, recently obtaining ‘First Aid for Dogs’. Above all, your dog’s welfare is the most important thing in the salon and we are dedicated to making sure that he or she is happy with us. All the dogs that come into our salon will be treated like my own; during their groom your dog will be given lots of love and one to one affection.
I trained at the Top Trimz Grooming and Training Salon in Consett. Achieving City and Guilds Diploma Level 3. My biggest accolade was being personally trained by Marie Burns, ‘Winner of Crufts 2016’ with her beautiful West Highland Terrier, Devon.
I worked hard, achieving all more goals and more. I was truly honoured to be offered a very sort after job working alongside Marie and Catherine once my training had finished, in their very prestigious and award winning salon. My dreams didn’t stop there.
